Introduction
The capture bug reporting widget can be installed on any webpage by adding a snippet of javascript code to your site.
Embedding the capture widget on your website makes it possible for visitors to your site to capture bug reports without needing to install any extensions themselves.
Use cases
Internal bug reporting
Embedding the capture widget on your page means anybody on your team can submit feedback without requiring them to have an account with capture.dev, or to install the browser extension.
By default the widget is triggered by a keyboard combination (cmd + /
on a mac, or ctrl + /
on PC). This allows you to keep the widget hidden from your users if you wish.
You can customise this behaviour by adding a custom trigger element to your page.
External bug reporting
You can also use the capture widget to gather bug reports from your customers. Your customers can also use the keyboard shortcut to open the widget, but to make it easier you may wish to add a custom trigger element to your page.
