Linear
Enable our Linear integration to automatically create a new issue in Linear whenever you capture new feedback or bug reports from your website.
Getting started
To begin, ensure you have a Capture.dev account. If you don’t already have one, you can sign up at app.capture.dev.
After signing up, you’ll be prompted to install the Capture widget. You can install the widget in one of two ways:
- By installing our browser extension, or
- By adding a small JavaScript snippet to your webpage
Once the Capture widget is installed, you can start collecting feedback directly from your webpage. Each time you create a new capture, a unique link is generated, which you can access through your Capture.dev dashboard.
By connecting your Linear account to Capture.dev, you can also choose to automatically create a Linear issue for each new capture.
Connecting to Linear
To connect your Linear account:
- Go to the integrations page on Capture.dev.
- Click the Connect to Linear button.
- You’ll be redirected to Linear, where you’ll need to authorize the connection.
Once the connection is set up, you can manage it from the integrations page. By default, the setting to create an issue in Linear for all new captures is turned on, but you can opt out of this if you wish.
Configuration
Capture.dev creates new issues in Linear using the default status of your Linear workspace (e.g., triage or todo). You can customize this behavior from the Integrations page by selecting a different default status for all issues created by Capture.dev.
